El dato m\u00e1s significativo fue la presencia de una marcada linfopenia b. Adem\u00e1s, se investig\u00f3 si dicha linfopenia se correspond\u00eda con una mayor tasa de apoptosis in vitro de los linfocitos b de los enfermos ur\u00e9micos. No s\u00f3lo se detect\u00f3 una mayor incidencia de apoptosis para los linfocitos b, sino tambi\u00e9n para los t cd4+ y cd8+. Dichos hallazgos se acompa\u00f1aron de una mayor frecuencia de c\u00e9lulas fas+ en los pacientes ur\u00e9micos, m\u00e1s en los de hemodi\u00e1lisis con respecto a los sujetos sanos, y de un descenso de los linfocitos bcl-2+, aunque de forma m\u00e1s marcada en este caso en los pacientes ur\u00e9micos no dializados. Probablemente, los datos presentados s\u00f3lo reflejan una parte de la patogenia de las alteraciones inmunitarias detectadas, abri\u00e9ndose una l\u00ednea de trabajo para profundizar en los mecanismos que conducen a ello.  en resumen, los datos presentados sugieren que el d\u00e9ficit de c\u00e9lulas b observado puede deberse a una mayor susceptibilidad a morir por apoptosis de esos linfocitos, pudiendo jugar alg\u00fan papel relevante mol\u00e9culas pro-apopt\u00f3ticas, como fas, y mol\u00e9culas anti-apopt\u00f3ticas, como bcl-2.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos
