Este procedimiento est\u00e1 basado en la eficiente adici\u00f3n nucle\u00f3fila de la hidrazona del formaldeh\u00eddo derivada de la (s)-1-amino-2-metoximetilpirrolidina a cetonas a,b-insaturadas. Resulta imprescindible el empleo de triflatos de trialquilsililo voluminosos, que no solo aportan la necesaria activaci\u00f3n de los sustratos, sino que determinan el regio y estereocontrol del proceso.  adicionalmente, se ha ampliado el estudio a otras posibles aplicaciones sint\u00e9ticas del proceso, y aprovechando el car\u00e1cter electrof\u00edlico del carbono azomet\u00ednico presente en los productos de adici\u00f3n obtenidos ha sido posible acceder a una serie de 4-aminocetonas con creaci\u00f3n de un nuevo centro estereog\u00e9nico con elevadas selectividades.
