En la primera, se desarrolla una t\u00e9cnica de post-proceso para el tratamiento de las inestabilidades en la velocidad debidas a la convecci\u00f3n dominante cuando \u00e9stas aparecen en la resoluci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica por el m\u00e9todo de galerkin, de problemas en la mec\u00e1nica de fluidos para flujos incomprensibles.  el desarrollo de dicha t\u00e9cnica se basa en la observaci\u00f3n de un cierto efecto de autoestabilizaci\u00f3n impl\u00edcito en la soluci\u00f3n discreta proporcionada por el m\u00e9todo mixto en el que las bajas frecuencias resultan estabilizadas por las altas frecuencias.  la herramienta fundamental para la obtenci\u00f3n de este resultado es la desigualdad triangular inversa uniforme (dtiu), cuya aplicaci\u00f3n permite asimismo realizar un an\u00e1lisis alternativo del m\u00e9todo mixto como un m\u00e9todo estabilizado, en el que se analizan por separado las componentes de altas y bajas frecuencias de la velocidad y la presi\u00f3n.  en la segunda parte, se introduce un m\u00e9todo de v\u00f3rtices tridimensional basado en una discretizaci\u00f3n por elementos finitos p1-lagrange de la vorticidad.
