Sin embargo el dise\u00f1o de estos dispositivos se realiza por m\u00e9todos emp\u00edricos de ensayo-error.  el objetivo principal de la presente tesis doctoral es estudiar la relaci\u00f3n entre el umbral de percolaci\u00f3n y determinados par\u00e1metros de la formulaci\u00f3n para optimizar el dise\u00f1o de comprimidos matriciales de liberaci\u00f3n controlada.  se ha encontrado una relaci\u00f3n lineal entre umbral de percolaci\u00f3n del f\u00e1rmaco, y el tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula relativo f\u00e1rmaco-excipiente. Adem\u00e1s el comienzo de los per\u00edodos de liberaci\u00f3n de orden cero de estas matrices, depende de forma exponencial de la distancia al umbral de percolaci\u00f3n. Se han estudiado, por otra parte, comprimidos con una m\u00e1quina dotada de una sonda de ultrasonido. Estos comprimidos han confirmado los resultados obtenidos con los comprimidos tradicionales, mostrando la desaparici\u00f3n de la influencia del tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula del f\u00e1rmaco, cuando
