An\u00e1lisis funcionales demuestran un acoplamiento del receptor de pacap-r-i al sistema de la plc, mediante prote\u00ednas g insensibles a txp. Se demuestra, as\u00ed mismo, la regulaci\u00f3n hom\u00f3loga del sistema receptor-efector de vip en macr\u00f3fagos peritoneales de rata, as\u00ed como se caracteriza enzim\u00e1ticamente la estimulaci\u00f3n por vip de la enzima adenilil ciclasa. Por otra parte se pone de manifiesto la expresi\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas g del tipo alfa-s por inmunodetecci\u00f3n y adp-ribosilaci\u00f3n por txc. En relaci\u00f3n al otro agente neuroinmunomodulador estudiado, la melatonina, se demuestra un efecto inhibidor sobre la nos-i mediado por su interacci\u00f3n con la prote\u00edna calmodulina.
