La utilizaci\u00f3n de a-sulfinil alcoholes como agentes quirales de protonaci\u00f3n, permite obtener dicha cetona con excesos enantiom\u00e9ricos superiores al 90 %, siempre que se utilicen las condiciones adecuadas de reacci\u00f3n que se reflejan positivamente en la estereoselecci\u00f3n.
