Con gh biotinada ha sido posible determinar los tipos celulares portadores de estos receptores. Como patr\u00f3n general, \u00e9stos han sido m\u00e1s abundantes en las formas inmaduras. La funcionalidad de los receptores se comprob\u00f3 con un ensayo de proliferaci\u00f3n sobre cultivos primarios de c\u00e9lulas del ri\u00f1\u00f3n anterior.  se ha ensayado el efecto del tratamiento con gh sobre fogocitos de dorada en cultivo. Los fogocitos (macr\u00f3fagos y neutr\u00f3filos) se identificaron con las tinciones de esterasa y mieloperoxidasa. La gh estimul\u00f3 la capacidad de fogocitosis y aument\u00f3 al tama\u00f1o y la extensi\u00f3n celular.
