Se ha sintetizado y caracterizado distintos intermedios de la reacci\u00f3n.  la reacci\u00f3n fotoqu\u00edmica de varios aductos de monometalados con diferentes fosfinas nos han permitido observar distintos comportamientos dependiendo de la fosfina entrante. Tambi\u00e9n hemos sintetizado una nueva familia de compuestos bis-ecuatoriales de riodio(ii).  la reacci\u00f3n de adici\u00f3n oxidativa en el sistema pd(dba)2p(o-brc6h4)(c6h5)2 produce como productos mayoritarios una especie tetranuclear (pd(c6h4)p(c6h5)2)br)4 y una mezcla de isomeros cis, trans-(pd(c6h4)p(c6h5)2)br (p(o-brc6h4)(c6h5))).  las reacciones de estos productos con fosfinasconducen a diversas familias de compuestos paladio (ii) de formulas cis, trans-(pd(pc) br(pr3), (pd2(pc)2br2(pr3)2),(pd(pc)x)4, (pd(pc)(pr3)2(bf4) y (pd2(pc)2(pr3)4)(bf4) siendo pc=(c6h4)p(c6h5)2.  los compuestos (pd(pc)br(pr3)) evolucionan en estado solido por acci\u00f3n de la luz visible produciendo compuestos de formula pd(pp)br2, siendo pp una
