La diferenciaci\u00f3n de estas unidades, junto con los nuevos f\u00f3siles datadores descubiertos, ha permitido realizar un cuadro cronoestratigr\u00e1fico detallado. En base al mismo, se ha detectado una importante laguna estratigr\u00e1fica que abarca, pr\u00e1cticamente, todo el albiense medio (al menos 7 de las 8 subzonas de las que consta).  la dataci\u00f3n de las distintas unidades litoestratigr\u00e1ficas ha sido realizada en base a grupos de foramin\u00edferos bent\u00f3nicos, para series de plataforma carbonatada somera, y ammonites (series de cuenca relativa y plataforma). La mayor\u00eda de las especies determinadas son primeras citas de la zona, y algunas incluso de la cuenca vasco-cant\u00e1brica. Se han diferenciado un total de 8 sistemas deposicionales, dos en el aptiense, tres en el albiense inferior-medio basal y tres en el albiense superior. Todos los sistemas deposicionales corresponden a medios marinos, desde someros, estuarinos hasta de cuenca profunda.  se han distinguido un total de 13 fallas sinsedimentarias, 2 pliegues, 2 discordancias angulares (albiense inferior y l\u00edmite albiense inferior-superior), y una cuenca de transtensi\u00f3n. La coincidencia de las estructuras alpinas con las lineaciones de fallas sinsedimentarias m\u00e1s importantes, pone de manifiesto la existencia de fracturas profundas, algunas heredadas de la orogenia herc\u00ednica. El car\u00e1cter de las fallas sinsedimentarias, rasgos estructurales de las cuencas de transtensi\u00f3n, elevaci\u00f3n de bloques, curvas de subsidencia tect\u00f3nica y otros rasgos sedimentol\u00f3gicos corroboran un modelo de subcuenca transtensiva sinistral.  a tenor de las discontinuidades estratigr\u00e1ficas identificadas en el \u00e1rea de estudio, hemos distinguido 5
