Esta bacteria crece en \u00f3ptimas condiciones en medio de cultivo mrs, presentando una cin\u00e9tica de crecimiento t\u00edpica de muchas bacterias l\u00e1cticas.  el uso de la prensa de french, result\u00f3 ser un m\u00e9todo adecuado para la ruptura celular y para la obtenci\u00f3n de un extracto celular con actividad leucina aminopeptidasa (lap). Partiendo de este extracto celular se logr\u00f3 purificar una lap a homogeneidad empleando cuatro etapas en la purificaci\u00f3n: cromatograf\u00edas convencionales de intercambio i\u00f3nico (deae celulosa) y de interacci\u00f3n hidrof\u00f3bica (phenyl sepharose), seguida de cromatograf\u00eda en fplc de intercambio i\u00f3nico (mono q) y de tamizado molecular (superose 12 hr).  la lap fue purificada 520 veces y muestra una actividad espec\u00edfica de 195 u mg-1 de prote\u00edna siendo el rendimiento del 31%. El enzima nativo es un homod\u00edmero de 74 a 76 kda constitu\u00eddo por dos subunidades de 37 kda. El enzima puro libera preferentemente leu situada en el extremo nh2-terminal de diversos sustratos pero no \u00e1cido asp\u00e1rtico ni glut\u00e1mico. Esta especificidad permite su clasificaci\u00f3n como leucil aminopeptidasa bacteriana, apareciendo en la vigente nomenclatura de enzimas registrada como ec 3.4.11.10.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
