Por una parte, a trav\u00e9s de la apertura enzimomim\u00e9tica de 3-amino-n-boc-beta- lactamas es posible sintetizar diversos oligop\u00e9ptidos portadores de amino\u00e1cidos no proteinog\u00e9nicos, concretamente alfa-beta-diamino\u00e1cidos.  por otra parte, la inclusi\u00f3n por vez primera de un anillo de 3-amino-beta-lactama en el interior de la cadena pept\u00eddica ha permitido la s\u00edntesis de un peptidomim\u00e9tico conformacionalmente restringido, a la vez que establecer las bases para abrir un nuevo campo de aplicaci\u00f3n de compuestos beta-lact\u00e1micos
