En el primer grupo de compuestos se han estudiado tanto los modos colectivos como los moleculares, \u00e9stos \u00faltimos desde su comportamiento como l\u00edquidos por encima del punto de fusi\u00f3n hasta temperaturas cercanas a la de la transici\u00f3n al estado v\u00edtreo. Concretamente el comportamiento de la relajaci\u00f3n asociada a la rotaci\u00f3n en torno al eje largo molecular ha sido caracterizado durante m\u00e1s de once d\u00e9cadas de frecuencia (desde 10 -3 hasta 10 9 hz). Las frecuencias caracter\u00edsticas de todos los procesos de relajaci\u00f3n observados en estos compuestos muestran una dependencia vogel-fulcher-tamman con la temperatura.  entre los mes\u00f3genos estudiados est\u00e1 el primer cristal l\u00edquido de bajo peso molecular ferroel\u00e9ctrico cuya fase smc* vitrifica.  el segundo grupo de cristales l\u00edquidos analizados est\u00e1 formado por metalomes\u00f3genos disc\u00f3ticos quirales que dan lugar a fases rectangulares inclinadas y por lo tanto ferroel\u00e9ctricas. En el trabajo se describe la din\u00e1mica molecular de estos compuestos y se analiza la influencia que ejercen en la respuesta diel\u00e9ctrica la quiralidad y la inclinaci\u00f3n de estas mol\u00e9culas en fases columnares.  por vez primera se observa en este tipo de compuestos la presencia de un modo colectivo, el modo columnar.
