Las presiones de vapor de los compuestos puros -a diez temperaturas- se han fijado a ecuaciones de antoine, y los datos de presi\u00f3n de vapor de mezclas (p, x, t) se han reducido, para obtener coeficientes de actividad y gen, siguiendo el m\u00e9todo de barker. La consistencia de los datos de presi\u00f3n de vapor se ha verificado a trav\u00e9s de la ecuaci\u00f3n de gibbs-helmholtz.  mezclas conteniendo alcoholes inferiores muestran aceotrop\u00eda, observ\u00e1ndose una buena correlaci\u00f3n lineal de las coordenadas aceotr\u00f3picas frente a la temperatura.  los resultados de gen, hen, y ven, a 298.15 k, se han tratado te\u00f3ricamente de acuerdo con el modelo eras, obteniendo los par\u00e1metros cruzados de asociaci\u00f3n (ah*ab, av*ab, kab) que mejor reproducen el comportamiento experimental.  en mezclas (alcohol + butanonitrilo), el comportamiento puede considerarse aceptable con los alcoholes largos; sin embargo, con alcoholes inferiores, con los que el ensayo es m\u00e1s cr\u00edtico, no se reproduce la simetr\u00eda de las curvas de volumen de exceso.  en mezclas (alcohol + n-propil\u00e9ter), el modelo da una buena representaci\u00f3n.
