Tambi\u00e9n se probaron v\u00edas alternativas de cristalizaci\u00f3n, tales como calentamiento convencional a reflujo, activaci\u00f3n microondas con reflujo y s\u00edntesis combinada microondas- hidrotermal. En la precipitaci\u00f3n por activaci\u00f3n mediante microondas con reflujo se obtuvo como \u00fanica fase el vpi-5 en todo el intervalo de tiempo estudiado. En el resto de t\u00e9cnicas utilizadas se obtuvieron mezcla de fases. Cuando se utiliz\u00f3 la activaci\u00f3n microondas se observ\u00f3 una reducci\u00f3n en el tiempo inicial de cristalizaci\u00f3n del vpi-5.  se propuso un mecanismo de precipitaci\u00f3n para los aipo-hidratos basado en la coordinaci\u00f3n del aluminio en disoluci\u00f3n. Se encontr\u00f3 una relaci\u00f3n directa entre la fracci\u00f3n de especies del aluminio en coordinaci\u00f3n octa\u00e9drica y tetra\u00e9drica en la disoluci\u00f3n y en la estructura del producto precipitado.  se ensayaron algunas nuevas aplicaciones para el vpi-5:  como tamiz molecular y como soporte para sistemas de liberaci\u00f3n controlada de f\u00e1rmacos. Se prepararon capas de aipo-hidratos sobre soportes macroporosos mediante t\u00e9cnicas hidrotermales. Los materiales compuestos impregnados se obtuvieron por difusi\u00f3n de la aspirina desde una disoluci\u00f3n de di\u00f3xido de carbono en estado supercr\u00edtico hacia los canales del
