En los dos primeros cap\u00edtulos se considera un mercado donde la calidad de los bienes puede ser observada por los consumidores a primera vista, mientras que en el \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo se analiza un mercado de \u00abbienes de experiencia\u00bb.  en los dos primeros cap\u00edtulos, las empresas tienen m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n que los consumidores sobre los costes, gracias a intercambios de informaci\u00f3n entre ellas, lo que puede dar lugar a que una empresa utilice su precio como se\u00f1al del precio puesto por su rival.  en el \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo, se demuestra que cuando los precios son se\u00f1ales de la calidad de los productos, una empresa multiproducto puede disfrutar de econom\u00edas de alcance en
