El primer objetivo fue la expresi\u00f3n de la pcpa2 humana en pichia pastoris hasta niveles de 250 mg\/l. El estudio de su proceso de activaci\u00f3n nos muestra que el primer corte tr\u00edptico es suficiente para liberar el segmento de activaci\u00f3n, y que durante el proceso se producen tres fragmentos de 96, 94 y 92 residuos. Tambi\u00e9n se han calculado sus constantes catal\u00edticas para diferentes sustratos. La resoluci\u00f3n de su estructura tridimensional por difracci\u00f3n de rayos x aislado y con el inhibidor benzilsuccinico, ha permitido explicar diferentes caracter\u00edsticas del proenzima a nivel estructural; como son su actividad intr\u00ednseca frente sustratos peque\u00f1os y su proceso de cativaci\u00f3n.
