Acetoac\u00e9tico, conteniendo en su estructura auxiliares quirales del tipo: oxazolidinona de evans, sultana de oppolzer, mentol y 8-fenilmentol, obteni\u00e9ndose ed desde moderados hasta buenos. A partir de los productos monoalquilados se han ensayado dos transformaciones: tratamiento con nan3 para dar oxazoles y con hidrazina para dar pirazoles, ambos en forma enantiom\u00e9ricamente pura. Los productos dialquilados tratados con hidrazina han dado lugar a la primera s\u00edntesis de 3-metil-2-pirazolin-5-onas enantiom\u00e9ricamente puras. Tanto los pirazoles como las pirazolonas obtenidas son productos potencialmente activos en \u00f3ptica no lineal.  se han puesto a punto condiciones alternativas a las cl\u00e1sicas para la transposici\u00f3n de schmidt, m\u00e1s suaves y seguras.
