La frecuencia de transposici\u00f3n puede incrementarse bajo ciertas condiciones ambientales, por lo que hemos estudiado si mut\u00e1genos de acci\u00f3n conocida pueden tener acci\u00f3n transposog\u00e9nica y en que medida. Se analiz\u00f3 la reversi\u00f3n som\u00e1tica a nivel fenot\u00edpico y a nivel molecular en mutantes de drosophila melanogaster portadores de retrotransposones insertos en el gen white, tras el tratamiento con tres agentes alquilantes: ems, enu, mms. Se observa una clara relaci\u00f3n entre presencia de retrotranspos\u00f3n e incremento de la frecuencia de reversi\u00f3n som\u00e1tica; en algunos casos la reversi\u00f3n puede estar asociada a escisi\u00f3n del et por recombinaci\u00f3n entre las repeticiones terminales del mismo o entre las secuencias flanqueantes del dna gen\u00f3mico. Asimismo, se analiz\u00f3 la reversi\u00f3n germinal inducida por los mismos agentes alquilantes en tres mutantes insercionales que presentan el retrotranspos\u00f3n b104 inserto en diferentes posiciones del gen white. El an\u00e1lisis molecular de los revertientes hallados revela que no se ha producido escisi\u00f3n de b104. Al analizar la causa del fenotipo revertiente, se vi\u00f3 que estaba asociada a modificadores secundarios (genes que actuan en trans sobre white), algunos de los cuales han sido cartografiados.  finalmente, tambi\u00e9n se hallaron otros mutantes inducidos por el tratamiento, que presentaban p\u00e9rdida de pigmentaci\u00f3n en los ojos debido a deleciones en el locus
