Se elimina la necesidad de bibliotecas de celdas, y por tanto, la s\u00edntesis l\u00f3gica deja de estar limitada a las funciones disponibles en dichas bibliotecas.  se ha desarrollado la herramienta playgen, que se ha incorporado en un flujo de dise\u00f1o que permite transformar descripciones l\u00f3gicas de alto nivel en layout. Esta herramienta incorpora una nueva estrategia para maximizar el n\u00famero de conexiones por adyacencia entre pares de transistores. La fase de dimensionamiento incorpora un modelo rc distribuido con extracci\u00f3n empirica de par\u00e1metros que consigue errores inferiores al 10%. Se han tenido en cuenta los elementos de disipaci\u00f3n de potencia, con reducciones entre el 2% y el 12%. El posicionamiento de las celdas se realiza con una versi\u00f3n mejorada de \u00abstochastic evoluti\u00f3n\u00bb, que consigue reducciones en la funci\u00f3n de coste del 12% respecto a los
