En algunas ocasiones, se han estudiado las caracter\u00edsticas que determinan esta termoestabilidad, y mediante su aplicaci\u00f3n, se han intentado termoestabilizar prote\u00ednas mes\u00f3filas. Dos aproximaciones alternativas son la evoluci\u00f3n molecular y la construcci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas h\u00edbridas. En este trabajo, se ha intentado termoestabilizar el gen cat-194, que codifica para resistencia a cloranfenicol. Sin embargo, tras realizar la mutag\u00e9nesis al azar mediante ultravioleta, se obtuvo un gen que, si bien es activo a 65 c, no se encuentra mutado. Por otra parte, se construyeron prote\u00ednas h\u00edbridas entre la glucosamina sintasas (glms) de thermus y e. Coli. Estas prote\u00ednas h\u00edbridas, conteniendo cada una un dominio de cada organismo, presentaban propiedades intermedias de estabilidad entre las de las prote\u00ednas parentales. Adem\u00e1s, ten\u00edan afectada su cat\u00e1lisis, lo que sugiere que las prote\u00ednas h\u00edbridas ten\u00edan alterado su equilibrio mon\u00f3mero inactivo- d\u00edmero activo. Por \u00faltimo, mediante estudios de modelados pudo predecirse que la prote\u00edna que conten\u00eda el dominio amino-terminal de e.  coli era la m\u00e1s inestable, lo que qued\u00f3 probado con los estudios realizados tanto en extractos crudos como en extractos puros.  como conclusi\u00f3n, podemos decir que las prote\u00ednas h\u00edbridas son un m\u00e9todo de obtener propiedades
