En esta memoria se presenta la caracterizaci\u00f3n de la funci\u00f3n del complejo iroquois (c-iro), que incluye los genes araucan, caupolican y mirror, en la subdivisi\u00f3n de la regi\u00f3n del disco de ala que corresponde al tergo en notum y axila proximal. En ausencia de los genes del c-iro, se activan genes espec\u00edficos de axila en la regi\u00f3n del notum de los discos y se desarrollan estructuras de axila proximal en lugar de notum en los adultos. Se propone que los genes del c-iro est\u00e1n implicados en el establecimiento de un borde entre el notum y la axila proximal, asociado a un pliegue, que influye en el desarrollo de ambos territorios. Los genes del c-iro tambi\u00e9n intervienen en el establecimiento de territorios de prevena, de manera semejante a su funci\u00f3n previamente caracterizada en la formaci\u00f3n del patr\u00f3n de
