Este cambio fenot\u00edpico se ve reflejado no s\u00f3lo en la actividad de las enzimas encargadas de la s\u00edntesis de catecolaminas, la tirosina hidroxilasa, y de acetilcolina, la col\u00edn-acetiltransferasa, respectivamente, sino tambi\u00e9n en la liberaci\u00f3n por exocitosis vesicular de noradrenalina y acetilcolina.  as\u00ed, las c\u00e9lulas nb69 que no han sido tratadas con \u00e1cido retinoico liberan noradrenalina de manera dependiente de calcio; al ser diferenciadas con \u00e1cido retinoico, dejan de liberar noradrenalina y empiezan a liberar acetilcolina por exocitosis. El an\u00e1lisis de la localizaci\u00f3n intracelular de los transportadores vesiculares de monoaminas y de acetilcolina indica que el cambio fenot\u00edpico podr\u00eda ser debido a una alteraci\u00f3n en la localizaci\u00f3n citoplasm\u00e1tica de los mismos.
