En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os se ha descrito que la hipertensi\u00f3n arterial y la proteinuria mantenida son dos de los factores m\u00e1s importantes implicados en \u00e9ste fen\u00f3meno. En esta tesis, en dos modelos experimentales de da\u00f1o renal, se aborda la implicaci\u00f3n de estos factores a trav\u00e9s de un nexo com\u00fan como es la s\u00edntesis de mediadores vasoactivos, la angiotesina ii (ang ii) y la endotelina-1 (et-1). En el modelo de hipertensi\u00f3n arterial se aportan datos que sugieren que la et-1 puede ser uno de los p\u00e9ptidos relacionados con el sistema renia-angiotensina.  se observ\u00f3 un incremento en la expresi\u00f3n de et-1 y de sus receptores fta y ftb. La modulaci\u00f3n de la enzima convertidora de la ang ii disminuy\u00f3 dicha expresi\u00f3n.  en el estudio de un modelo de proteinuria persistente inducido por sobrecarga proteica, se aportan datos que sugieren la activaci\u00f3n del sistema renina angiotensina local. En este mismo modelo tambi\u00e9n se ha estudiado la activaci\u00f3n del factor nuclearkappa b que regula la transcripci\u00f3n de muchos genes implicados en el da\u00f1o tisular. Este factor podr\u00eda participar en el da\u00f1o renal inducido por la activaci\u00f3n del sistema renina angiotensina en situaciones de protenuria intensa y mantenida, lo que constituir\u00eda un
