En esta tesis se ha analizado la participacion de la fla2 en tres fenomenos que implican fusion de membrana, la reaccion acrosomica, la interaccion espermatozoide-oocito y la implantacion embrionaria en mamiferos. La localizacion de la fla2 en los gametos sugiere un papel para esta enzima en la reaccion acrosomica y en la interaccion gametica que ocurre durante la fecundacion.  la localizacion de esta enzima en los embriones preimplantacionales y en el epitelio utero sugiere una funcion de la fla2 en la interaccion de las membranas durante la implantacion. Los resultados muestran que la adicion de los anticuerpos anti-fla2 al medio de incubacion de los espermatozoides, inhibe la reaccion acrosomica y la fecundacion in vitro. Los anticuerpos anti-fla2 adicionados al medio de incubacion de los embriones, o la microinyeccion de ellos al citoplasma del zigoto, inhiben la implantacion de manera significativa con respecto a los controles. La lisofosfatidilcolina, producto de reaccion de la fla2 acelera y sincroniza la reaccion acrosomica y la penetracion de los espermatozoides a traves de la zona pelucida y la fecundacion. La adicion combinada de los anticuerpos anti-fla2 y de la lisofosfatidilcolina, muestra que a pesar que la enzima endogena se encuentra inhibida, la lisofosfatidilcolina es capaz de revertir el efecto inhibitorio sobre la reaccion acrosomica y la fecundacion. Se sugiere que una fla2 endogena actuaria en las etapas finales de la reaccion acrosomica, en la interaccion gametica y en la implantacion embrionaria en mamiferos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
