Se han desarrollado varios programas de optimizaci\u00f3n topol\u00f3gica que combinan los m\u00e9todos evolutivos con el m\u00e9todo de los elementos finitos. Tambi\u00e9n se ha realizado un estudio comparativo de cada uno de estos programas y de la influencia de los diversos par\u00e1metros gen\u00e9ticos necesarios para la determinaci\u00f3n del proceso de evoluci\u00f3n.  el objetivo de la tesis es el desarrollo y validaci\u00f3n de una completa metodolog\u00eda que combina la mayor parte de los m\u00e9todos evolutivos con el m\u00e9todo de los elementos finitos, para la obtenci\u00f3n de dise\u00f1os de formas estructurales planas, con mejor comportamiento ante solicitaciones externas y con la cantidad de material precisa para que se cumplan los requisitos establecidos.  los ejemplos presentados para la validaci\u00f3n del m\u00e9todo se han agrupado en tres tipos que son: estructuras sometidas a una carga externa, estructuras sometidas a varias cargas y sub-estructuras sin restricciones. Dentro del segundo grupo se incluyen las cargas distribuidas y el caso de cargas deslizantes. Obteni\u00e9ndose resultados satisfactorios para el caso de los algoritmos gen\u00e9ticos.  con el resto de los m\u00e9todos evolutivos analizados no se obtienen resultados aceptables cuando a la
