En la primera parte se formula el problema elastodin\u00e1mico lineal, estudiando con detalle el proceso general del modelado a partir de una discretizaci\u00f3n mediante elementos finitos de las ecuaciones en derivadas parciales correspondientes. Se incluyen abundantes ejemplos de simulaci\u00f3n de campos de ondas, haciendo hincapi\u00e9 en las trampas de petr\u00f3leo. En la segunda parte se aborda el an\u00e1lisis de diferentes algoritmos paralelos, proponi\u00e9ndose un m\u00e9todo nuevo y original (denominado \u00abmultibloque\u00bb) basado en el tratamiento de las interfacies entre subdominios como emisores de los frentes de onda que inciden en ellas.
