Isabel Villuendas Sanz <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los pol\u00edmeros sint\u00e9ticos ocupan un lugar importante entre los biomateriales biodegradables utilizados en medicina y farmacia. su degradaci\u00f3n ocurre por v\u00eda hidrol\u00edtica complementada con procesos enzim\u00e1ticos. Por ello, en el dise\u00f1o de estos pol\u00edmeros degradables se introducen en su esqueleto grupos funcionales susceptibles de hidr\u00f3lisis. Adem\u00e1s, es conveniente emplear productos naturales o compuestos que formen parte de la ruta metab\u00f3lica de los seres vivos. as\u00ed, el material polim\u00e9rico ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s biocompatible y podr\u00e1 degradarse originando productos no t\u00f3xicos para el organismo. En nuestro departamento se escogi\u00f3 el \u00e1cido tart\u00e1rico (carbohidrato) como producto base para la preparaci\u00f3n de poliamidas. Stas presentaban buenas propiedades t\u00e9rmicas y mec\u00e1nicas, pero su degradaci\u00f3n hidrol\u00edtica era demasiado lenta.  en este trabajo se plante\u00f3 la modificaci\u00f3n de la estructura de las poliamidas anteriores mediante la introducci\u00f3n de enlaces \u00e9ster, lo cual har\u00eda al pol\u00edmero resultante m\u00e1s susceptible a la hidr\u00f3lisis. Por ello, en lugar de las diaminas empleadas en la s\u00edntesis de poliamidas, se escogieron aminoalcoholes alif\u00e1ticos de diferente longitud de cadena. As\u00ed, el presente trabajo ha consistido en la preparaci\u00f3n, caracterizaci\u00f3n y estudio de diversas propiedades (t\u00e9rmicas, mec\u00e1nicas, degradativas) de poliesteramidas derivadas del \u00e1cido tart\u00e1rico y aminoalcoholes. Los pol\u00edmeros estudiados pueden clasificarse en dos grupos seg\u00fan la direccionalidad de la cadena polim\u00e9rica:  a) sindiorr\u00e9gicos (adireccionales).  estas poliesteramidas fueron obtenidas por policondensaci\u00f3n en disoluci\u00f3n. Los rendimientos de obtenci\u00f3n de lo pol\u00edmeros as\u00ed como sus pesos moleculares fueron buenos (28000-98000 g\/mol, gpc).
