En ambos casos se ha determinado el n\u00famero de copias y el patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n en cebada.  hv-cp-ii present\u00f3 un gen espec\u00edfico de endospermo y un segundo gen relacionado que se expresa en hojas y raices.  ambas proteinas se han expresado en la bacteria e. Coli.  en el caso de bti-cmc se ha mejorado su eficacia frente a tripsina por mutag\u00e9nesis dirigida. Al expresar hv-cp-ii se ha comprobado su actividad inhibitoria frente a papaina purificada y frente a enzimas digestivos de leptinotarsa decenlineata (escarabajo de la patata) y de lyssorhoptus
