Se ha elegido la teor\u00eda de control difuso por dos razones:  permite modelar el comportamiento humano y es capaz de controlar sistemas como el biol\u00f3gico, que no pueden modelarse convenientemente dada su complejidad. En una primera fase del trabajo se obtuvo, mediante simulaci\u00f3n en el ordenador y experimentaci\u00f3n con animales de laboratorio, una estrategia de control considerada v\u00e1lida. En una segunda fase, con el objetivo de validar el funcionamiento real del sistema controlador, se realizaron 28 controles en casos cl\u00ednicos reales, cuya realizaci\u00f3n fue posible dentro del marco de trabajo creado por el convenio de colaboraci\u00f3n entre la escuela t\u00e9cnica superior de ingenieros industriales de Madrid y el hospital \u00abla paz\u00bb de Madrid, para el desarrollo de proyectos conjuntos. Para la realizaci\u00f3n de estas pruebas cl\u00ednicas se implant\u00f3 la estrategia de control desarrollada en un equipo port\u00e1til, de peque\u00f1o tama\u00f1o, que pudiese ser usado f\u00e1cilmente al lado del paciente. De las pruebas cl\u00ednicas realizadas se puede concluir que la estrategia de control desarrollada es fiable y eficaz, por lo que su aplicaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica generalizada supondr\u00eda una
