En concreto se investiga en la cancelaci\u00f3n del ruido ac\u00fastico de escapes de veh\u00edculos, mediante t\u00e9cnicas de procesado de se\u00f1al.  se propone la aplicaci\u00f3n en un sistema para control activo de ruido en conductos (carec) de dos m\u00e9todos o estrategias (m\u00e9todo del simplex y algoritmo gen\u00e9tico) de control basadas en la evaluaci\u00f3n de la potencia de la se\u00f1al que sale por el extremo del conducto como resultado de la cancelaci\u00f3n.  estos algoritmos a pesar de que pueden resultar lentos en algunas aplicaciones, se caracterizan por ser robustos y estables, siendo su implementaci\u00f3n muy sencilla. Adem\u00e1s, no necesitan conocer, c\u00f3mo sucede en otros m\u00e9todos de control cl\u00e1sicos, aspectos del proceso que se pretende controlar.  de las simulaciones y experimentaciones realizadas se desprenden las conclusiones sobre los m\u00e1rgenes de funcionamiento \u00f3ptimo y las limitaciones pr\u00e1cticas del sistema car para carec implementado. Dada la naturaleza del ruido a cancelar, de banda estrecha o peri\u00f3dico propio de los motores de combusti\u00f3n interna, se profundiza en la tesis doctoral en este tipo de
