El consumo de las conejas con el pienso mas fibroso fue mayor que en los otros 2 grupos durante la gestaci\u00f3n y la lactaci\u00f3n. Ello supone un mayor consumo de energ\u00eda digestible, pero esta no se traduce en un mayor peso de la coneja, ni en una mayor producci\u00f3n de leche.  el aumento de nivel de fibra a 16% produjo solo una disminuci\u00f3n del peso de las camadas en lactaci\u00f3n y de la producci\u00f3n media de leche en la tercera semana de este per\u00edodo, mientras que un aumento del nivel de fibra a 19% produjo adem\u00e1s un menor n\u00famero de gazapos destetados por coneja y a\u00f1o, menos peso y tama\u00f1o de los gazapos nacidos vivos y un aumento de la mortalidad total de las camadas en lactaci\u00f3n y en la primera semana de vida.  estos resultados sugieren que el nivel de fibra bruta por si misma tiene un efecto sobre el aumento del consumo de pienso de la coneja, independientemente del que pueda tener la diluci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica del pienso con la que normalmente se asocia en los piensos comerciales. De esta forma se aumenta el consumo de energ\u00eda digestible de la madre, pero los resultados de producci\u00f3n obtenidos parecen indicar que el aprovechamiento de esta energ\u00eda es peor y no
