Un cristal de sonido se puede definir como \u00abaquel sistema en el que existe una distribuci\u00f3n peri\u00f3dica de la densidad, ordenado seg\u00fan las dimensiones de la longitud de onda ac\u00fastica con la que va a interactuar, de forma que tengan lugar los fen\u00f3menos de interferencia\u00bb. Se trata de encontrar estructuras que posean propiedades de cristal (aparici\u00f3n de bandas prohibidas de propagaci\u00f3n) para las ondas ac\u00fasticas. En concreto se ha analizado el comportamiento de cristal de sonido en estructuras minimalistas de alta simetr\u00eda y en dos dimensiones.  en el an\u00e1lisis sistem\u00e1tico de las propiedades de cristal de sonido de dichas estructuras, se han analizado varios par\u00e1metros que influyen en la aparici\u00f3n y evoluci\u00f3n de bandas prohibidas de propagaci\u00f3n: simetr\u00eda de la red (cuadrada, triangular y hexagonal), n\u00famero de elementos que forman el cristal, material de los elementos de cristal y variaci\u00f3n del factor de llenado del cristal.  los resultados obtenidos indican la existencia de dichos cristales de sonido. En concreto, las conclusiones m\u00e1s importantes obtenidas son las siguientes: la red m\u00e1s favorable a la aparici\u00f3n de bandas prohibidas de las ensayadas es la triangular. El material y el n\u00famero de elementos de cristal no influye en la atenuaci\u00f3n conseguida. El factor determinante en la aparici\u00f3n y evoluci\u00f3n de las bandas prohibidas es el factor de llenado. Se estudia y analiza el fen\u00f3meno de las \u00abbandas sordas\u00bb (bandas de transmisi\u00f3n que predice la teor\u00eda pero que no transmiten el sonido).  por \u00faltimo se analizan cristales de sonido de simetr\u00eda reducida derivados de la red hexagonal, comprob\u00e1ndose que en estos cristales la atenuaci\u00f3n conseguida es mayor que en los
