La primera se\u00f1ala las fuentes de las ediciones de s. J. I. De la cruz en forma cronol\u00f3gica, las fuentes primarias de los textos, el barroco americano y el teatro de s.J. I de la cruz y la cronolog\u00eda de las representaciones.  la segunda parte analiza las loas, y sus antecedentes y la evoluci\u00f3n de ellas. La tercera parte analiza los tres autos sacramentales de sor juana: el divino narciso, el m\u00e1rtir del sacramento, san hermenegildo y el divino narciso. La cuarta parte analiza el teatro profano: los empe\u00f1os de una casa, \u00absainetes\u00bb, \u00abel sarao de las cuatro naciones\u00bb y el amor es m\u00e1s laberinto.  es necesario repetir, que uno de los fines centrales en el presente trabajo es el de se\u00f1alar con diferentes ejemplos el empleo de la alegor\u00eda en el teatro sacro de sor juana, al igual que analizar la l\u00ednea cultural, tradicional e hist\u00f3rica, porque se parte del per\u00edodo barroco colonial espa\u00f1ol, que part\u00eda del antecedente de los \u00faltimos siglos de la edad
