Para ellos se realiza la monitorizaci\u00f3n de la actividad motora en ratas en las que ha inducido un modelo animal de depresi\u00f3n ampliamente aceptado como tal y que presenta una arquitectura del sue\u00f1o rem similar a la observada en pacientes con depresi\u00f3n end\u00f3gena.  para ello se administra neonatalmente clorimipramina (cmi) a crias de ratas, registrandose la actividad motora a los 4 meses de edad y analiz\u00e1ndose conobiol\u00f3gicamente una segunda tanda de registros se realiza a los 7 meses de edad habiendo seguido la mitad de las ratas una dieta rica en tript\u00f3fano que ha demostrado ser \u00fatil para aumentar la transmisi\u00f3n serotonin\u00e9rgica.  tras concluir los registros, se procede a la decapitaci\u00f3n y posterior an\u00e1lisis neuroqu\u00edmico de las monoaminas y metabolitos mediante cromatograf\u00eda l\u00edquida de alta presi\u00f3n.  los resultados obtenidos permiten decir que las ratas tratadas neonatalmente con clorimipramina presentan un acortamiento del periodo as\u00ed como un retraso en la acrofase en relaci\u00f3n a las ratas control. Estas alteraciones cronobiol\u00f3gicas no se modifican tras la dieta rica en tript\u00f3fano, lo cual hace pensar que la implicaci\u00f3n serotonin\u00e9rgica es escasa.  en el an\u00e1lisis neuroqu\u00edmico se detect\u00f3 un intento de compensar una hipofunci\u00f3n del sistema serotonin\u00e9rgico en las ratas tratadas neonatalmente con cmi asi como un aumento de la actividad dopamin\u00e9rgica y una disminuci\u00f3n noradren\u00e9rgica que hacen pensar en una implicaci\u00f3n de este \u00faltimo sistema en las alteraciones
