Hemos pretendido analizar las posibles repercusiones del estr\u00e9s ocupacional sobre la satisfacci\u00f3n personal, mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de cuatro cuestionarios b\u00e1sicos (que recaban informaci\u00f3n, respectivamente, sobre datos sociodemogr\u00e1ficos personales y profesionales, el estr\u00e9s profesional o desgaste profesional -mbi-, algunas caracter\u00edsticas de personalidad de los sujetos -beegc-20- y el estr\u00e9s diario -ced-). Se han estudiado, adem\u00e1s, las relaciones existentes entre las caracter\u00edsticas de personalidad evaluadas por el beegc-20 y el s\u00edndrome de burnout; as\u00ed como la influencia del estr\u00e9s diario en dicho s\u00edndrome.  no hemos olvidado el ambiente organizacional, que a menudo contribuye poderosamente al denominado estr\u00e9s cr\u00f3nico laboral asistencial. La muestra sobre la que hemos trabajado est\u00e1 compuesta por 265 enfermeras que trabajan en el hospital de cruces (baracaldo-vizcaya-).  adem\u00e1s, y dado que el s\u00edndrome de estr\u00e9s cr\u00f3nico laboral asistencial se presenta m\u00e1s frecuentemente en profesiones que est\u00e1n frente al p\u00fablico, hemos utilizado una muestra de secretarias como grupo control, para poder comparar ambos colectivos y ver sus respectivos comportamientos.  entre los hallazgos m\u00e1s interesantes de esta investigaci\u00f3n, cabe destacar que: a) en ambos colectivos, la primera fase en el proceso del desarrollo del s\u00edndrome de burnout corresponde a bajos sentimientos de realizaci\u00f3n personal en el trabajo. B) ambas muestras han confirmado que las variables de personalidad del beegc-20 juegan un papel importante a la hora de explicar el s\u00edndrome de estar quemado por el trabajo. C) mientras que en el colectivo de secretarias, el estr\u00e9s diario no parece tener importancia en la explicaci\u00f3n del proceso de desarrollo del s\u00edndrome de burnout, en el colectivo de
