A lo largo de 3 ciclos de dise\u00f1o se han obtenido derivados muy interesantes en ensayos in vitro. Por otra parte estos compuestos han mostrado una importante actividad antidepresiva en ensayos realizados in vivo. Se ha construido un modelo tridimensional del receptor 5-ht1a de rata mediante t\u00e9cnicas de modelizaci\u00f3n molecular.  para ello se ha utilizado el modelo de rodopsina bovina proporcionado por j.M. Baldwin, recientemente publicado.  la validaci\u00f3n del modelo se ha llevado a cabo utilizando el ligando end\u00f3geno, la serotonina.  el siguiente paso en esta linea de investigaci\u00f3n ha sido
