La teor\u00eda wojtyliana de la participaci\u00f3n, expuesta en su principal obra, persona y acci\u00f3n, y rele\u00edda a la luz de los contenidos referentes a la comunicaci\u00f3n humana presentes en otros textos filos\u00f3ficos y literarios de karol wojtyla, permite distinguir entre la comunicaci\u00f3n que existe en el mundo puramente material y la comunicaci\u00f3n propiamente humana.  la conditio sine qua non esta \u00faltima es la existencia de una comuni\u00f3n en la humanidad, es decir, una apertura hacia la dimensi\u00f3n subjetiva del \u00abotro\u00bb, una relaci\u00f3n positiva con la humanidad de la otra persona. La existencia de la participaci\u00f3n en el primer sentido constituye la base para la participaci\u00f3n en el segundo sentido, que permite emprender unos actos orientados hacia la communio personarum. As\u00ed pues, la comunicaci\u00f3n propiamente humana no es un simple intercambio de mensajes, sino un acto de apertura, que incluye la participaci\u00f3n en la humanidad del \u00abotro\u00bb y se orienta hacia el encuentro personal y hacia la communio personarum. El hombre, que necesita relacionarse con los dem\u00e1s para vivir, para autorrealizarse necesita, adem\u00e1s, que sus relaciones con otras personas tengan en cuenta la especificidad de la comunicaci\u00f3n propiamente humana, cuyo fin consiste en el paso de la participaci\u00f3n en la humanidad del otro a la comuni\u00f3n con \u00e9l.
