Los aislamientos se pudieron dividir en dos grupos dependiendo de la dl50 en el anterior modelo animal. cuando estas cepas fueron incubadas en un medio deficiente en nutrientes esenciales, atm (adherence test medium), s\u00f3lo las cepas de alta virulencia fueron capaces de formar filamentos visibles, adheridos al vidrio. Estudios de microscop\u00eda \u00f3ptica y electr\u00f3nica revelaron que las bacterias se encontraban extremadamente agregadas e inclu\u00eddas en una matriz de naturaleza polisacar\u00eddica. Este fenotipo fue independiente del perfil plasm\u00eddico, de la estructura del lps y de la expresi\u00f3n de fimbriae. La virulencia de las cepas se relacion\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n con la capacidad de uni\u00f3n al rojo congo, el cual indujo la secreci\u00f3n de la matriz polisacar\u00eddica. la integridad de monocapas de c\u00e9lulas epiteliales caco-2 se alter\u00f3 mediante la infecci\u00f3n con cepas de alta virulencia, as\u00ed como con los sobrenadantes de estas cepas tras ser incubadas en condiciones de formaci\u00f3n del biofilm, lo cual estar\u00eda confirmando las sospechas de la posible existencia de una toxina en s. enteritidis. Los resultados obtenidos sugieren que este biofilm, distinto a los descritos hasta ahora en la literatura, es, en efecto, un factor de virulencia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
