En esta memoria concluimos: que existe un procesamiento posiblemente postranscripcionalmente en polipetidos alfa y beta de lh1 de rs.Rubrum. Que la estequiometria bcl: car:alfa:beta. En rb.Capsulatus es 6:3:2:2. Que el carotenoide de la proteina lh1 presenta una interaccion dimerica de tipo excitonico entre dos moleculas que forman un angulo de 90 grados. Esta interaccion mejora la transferencia de energia a la bacterioclorofila (bcl) en un 200%, lo que implica al estado exitado 1bu+ (s1) del carotendide (car) en dicho proceso, que podra tener lugar a traves de un mecanismo de tipo coulombico. Que la ausencia de carotenoide provoca alteraciones en la bcl e inestabilidad en la proteina lh2. Que si se extrae el carotenoide de lh2 tiende a asemejarse a lh1, y se alteran los enlaces c-n de la bcl.
