Antonia <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se ha estudiado la cin\u00e9tica de oxidaci\u00f3n de los alcoholes 1-propanol y 2-propanol por hexacianoferrato (iii) en medio alcalino, utilizando como catalizadores ru(iii) y ru(vi).  la reacci\u00f3n se sigui\u00f3 por espectrofotometr\u00eda utilizando el m\u00e9todo de las velocidades iniciales. En ambos casos se encontr\u00f3 un orden fraccionario respecto al oxidante y sustrato y una dependencia de primer orden respecto al catalizador. La dependencia con la concentraci\u00f3n de oh es complicada. Se ha propuesto en ambos casos un mecanismo de reacci\u00f3n que implica la existencia de dos especies catal\u00edticas activas. Cada una de estas especies forma un complejo intermedio con el sustrato. Estos complejos son atacados por el hexacianoferrato (iii) en una etapa lenta. En el caso del ru(iii) este ataque implica una transferencia de un \u00e1tomo de h desde el enlace -c-h al ox\u00edgeno del hidroxoligando del rutenio y una transferencia de un electr\u00f3n mediante esfera externa desde el ru al oxidante. En el caso del ru(vi) la transferencia es de un i\u00f3n hidruro.
