Belen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En la presente tesis se ha secuenciado un fragmento de 16.710 pb de la regi\u00f3n 28 del cromosoma vii de saccharomyces cerevisiae. El an\u00e1lisis de la secuencia obtenida revel\u00f3 la existencia de cinco orfs que hab\u00edan sido previamente asignadas a genes de funci\u00f3n conocida (ceg1, soh1, scs3, sup44 y nab2) y otras cinco orfs de funci\u00f3n desconocida. Se llev\u00f3 a cabo el an\u00e1lisis funcional de las cinco orfs de funci\u00f3n desconocida as\u00ed como de una sexta orf de la regi\u00f3n 29 del mismo cromosoma. Para ello se procedi\u00f3 a la interrupci\u00f3n de dichas orfs en las cepas diploides fy1679 y cen.Pk2, esporulaci\u00f3n, an\u00e1lisis de t\u00e9tradas, determinaci\u00f3n de la esencialidad del gen y estudio fenot\u00edpico de los haploides derivados y diploides homozigotos obtenidos a partir de ellos. La orf ygl131c presenta un motivo caracter\u00edstico de peptidasas se\u00f1al tipo i. La orf129c podr\u00eda relacionarse con la funci\u00f3n mitocondrial. La orf125w es muy hom\u00f3loga a metilentetrahidrofolato reductasas y la orf ygl128c a prote\u00ednas dnaj. Los resultados de los an\u00e1lisis fenot\u00edpicos realizados son concordantes con estos altos grados de homolog\u00eda.
