Diversos factores, entre los que cabe destacar el \u00e9xito competitivo de las firmas japonesas, o las nuevas condiciones competitivas en las que deben desenvolverse la empresa (globalizaci\u00f3n de la econom\u00eda, mayor turbulencia del entorno, creciente presi\u00f3n competitiva internacional, demanda de una mayor calidad por los consumidores, etc.), Han motivado que gran parte de la investigaci\u00f3n acerca de las causas de la competitividad se oriente hacia el estudio de la calidad como estrategia competitiva.  por ello, la finalidad de este trabajo se centra en el an\u00e1lisis de las relaciones entre la calidad y la competitividad desde el enfoque de la teor\u00eda de la estrategia. No obstante, dada la complejidad de ambos constructos, nos proponemos como objetivo m\u00e1s concreto el estudio de las relaciones entre la calidad y la competitividad desde una perspectiva de \u00abcalidad percibida\u00bb o externa, y atendiendo a los efectos que \u00e9sta ejerce sobre la competitividad \u00abv\u00eda demanda\u00bb o a trav\u00e9s del mercado.  para el logro de estos objetivos plantamos una investigaci\u00f3n emp\u00edrica desarrollada en dos fases. En primer lugar, hemos procedido a la elaboraci\u00f3n de un instrumento de medida de la calidad percibida.  seguidamente, y a partir de la informaci\u00f3n obtenida de su aplicaci\u00f3n, hemos realizado un an\u00e1lisis de la existencia e importancia de los efectos \u00abv\u00eda demanda\u00bb de la calidad percibida sobre la competitividad.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos
