Se demuestra la dependencia del parametro de saturacion y del tiempo de vida medio del portador con la potencia optica de entrada. La figura de ruido de los amplificadores se analiza a partir del estudio estadistico de la luz amplificada y se demuestra la existencia de un minimo cuando el dispositivo esta altamente saturado. Se ha desarrollado tambien un metodo original que permite calcular la funcion densidad de probabilidad de la luz amplificada que permite obtener la probabilidad de error en sistemas de transmision digital que incorporan amplificadores opticos de forma exacta.
