Durante la reoxigenaci\u00f3n, la presencia de ca2+ en el momento de la reinstauraci\u00f3n del atp produce una deformaci\u00f3n celular irreversible conocida como hipercontractura.  sin embargo, en miocitos aislados la hipercontractura no se acompa\u00f1a de muerte celular. En este estudio se ha investigado la contribuci\u00f3n del edema celular (asociado a la restauraci\u00f3n del flujo sangu\u00edneo en el coraz\u00f3n in situ) y la de la interacci\u00f3n celular, a trav\u00e9s de los miomas \u00abgap juntions\u00bb para promover la rotura de la membrana y la muerte celular en miocitos card\u00edacos sometidos a isquemia-reoxigenaci\u00f3n.  los resultados demuestran que la hipercontractura coopera con el edema osm\u00f3tico en la rotura de la membrana durante la reoxigenaci\u00f3n.
