Sorprendentemente y al contrario de lo que pasaba al sobreexpresar la glucoquinasa, la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de hexoquinasa i no produce un augmento en la s\u00edntesi de gluc\u00f3geno. Se postula que solamente la glucosa 6-fosfato procedente de la glucoquinasa es capaz de inducir la s\u00edntesis de gluc\u00f3geno. La sobreexpresi\u00f3n de glucoquinasa en hepatocitos de rata zdf (modelo de diabetis tipo 2) produce un augmento en la utilizaci\u00f3n y almacenaje de glucosa por parte del hepatocito, restaurando de esta manera las alteraciones metab\u00f3licas propias del fenotipo diab\u00e9tico. Finalmente, la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de la subunidad catal\u00edtica de la glucosa 6-fosfatasa ha producido un incremento en la hidr\u00f3lisis de glucosa 6- fosfato y en la gluconeogenesis, as\u00ed como una disminuci\u00f3n en la gluc\u00f3lis y la s\u00edntesis de gluc\u00f3geno. La sobreexpresi\u00f3n en un modelo in vivo en el h\u00edgado de una rata wistar ha corroborado los resultados obtenidos en hepat\u00f3citos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
