Para dar respuesta al interrogante evolutivo planteado, se procedi\u00f3 a la revisi\u00f3n taxon\u00f3mica del grupo y a la inferencia de sus relaciones filogen\u00e9ticas, tanto internas, como respecto a una muestra de especies continentales y del resto de islas macaron\u00e9sicas. Para obtener se utiliz\u00f3 metodolog\u00eda cladista, implentada atrav\u00e9s del criterio de m\u00e1xima parsimonia, analiz\u00e1ndose conjuntamente caracteristicas morfol\u00f3gicos y de las secuencias de los genes mitocondriales coi y 16s.  el cladograma seleccionado es compatible con la existencia de un m\u00e1ximo de cuatro y un mi]nimo de dos procesos de colonizaci\u00f3n del archipielago por parte de ancestros continentales.  las colonizaciones interinsulares son el principal agente causante de la generaci\u00f3n de biodiversidad en las islas m\u00e1s antiguas (lanzarote y fuenteventura) y en las m\u00e1s modernas (la palma y el hierro). Por el contrario, en tenerife, gran canaria y en menor grado la gomera, las radiaciones intrainsulares han jugado un papel tan o m\u00e1s importante. Si bien parte de estas radiaciones puede ser explicadas aduciendo procesos de vicariancia, los datos morfol\u00f3gicos suguieren la existencia de segregaci\u00f3n en la presa potencial en especies simp\u00e1tricas estrechamente relacionadas filogen\u00e9ticamente. Estos datos serian compatibles con la existencia de procesos de especiaci\u00f3n simp\u00e1tica o, al menos, permitirian explicar la coexistencia de dichas especies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
