El descubrimiento de cistrones ribos\u00f3micos silenciosos en los cromosomas b de r. Rattus y estudios de transmisi\u00f3n en cruces controlados abre nuevas perspectivas relacionadas con el origen, evoluci\u00f3n y modo de transmisi\u00f3n de este cromosoma. Asimismo, el descubrimiento de cistrones ribos\u00f3micos silenciosos en los cromosomas sexuales de las otras dos especies permite elaborar un interesante modelo, sobre la evoluci\u00f3n reciente de estos cromosomas, que implica a estas secuencias en procesos de apareamiento y recombinaci\u00f3n y en fen\u00f3menos de postreducci\u00f3n en a. Sylvaticus. Por \u00faltimo, el an\u00e1lisis, a nivel molecular, de un adn sat\u00e9lite centrom\u00e9rico de l. Barbarus ha llevado al descubrimiento de una regi\u00f3n de alta homolog\u00eda con la caja cenp-b, aunque con unas caracter\u00edsticas particulares que pueden contribuir a la caracterizaci\u00f3n
