Estas descargas llamadas tambi\u00e9n poptenciales despolarizadores gigantes o gdps son el resultado de la acci\u00f3n combinada entre las conexiones gabaergicas y glutamatergicas en un periodo postnatal concreto (primeras dos semanas) que esta caracterizado por una perdida de la inhibici\u00f3n. Las interneuronas actuan como celulas excitadoras a traves de los receptores tipo a.  en esta tesis se muestra que los gdps se originan localmente en cualquiera de las tres zonas, a partir de la cooperaci\u00f3n entre neuronas glutamatergicas y gabaergicas. Estos eventos son generados por un mecanismo umbral dependiente de la frecuencia: as\u00ed mismo se demuestra un papel computacional para los gdps; ya que el patron de disparo por ellos generado
