Una sonda ideal de adn debe ser aquella que experimenta un cambio mensurable en alg\u00fan par\u00e1metro caracter\u00edstico cuando hibrida con la secuencia diana. Ya que la radioactividad o la actividad enzim\u00e1tica no var\u00edan tras la hibridaci\u00f3n, se deben realizar complejos procesos para separar la sonda libre de la hibridada. En contraste, las t\u00e9cnicas fluorm\u00e9tricas que utilizan fluor\u00f3foros enlazados a adn pueden permitir an\u00e1lisis con empleo de reactivos m\u00e1s sencillos y baratos, con mayor tiempo de validez y con la gran ventaja de efectuarlos en medios homog\u00e9neos. Al objeto de dise\u00f1ar sondas fluorim\u00e9tricas de adn en medios homog\u00e9neos, en este proyecto se ha planteado el estudio de los cambios que experimentan las propiedades fluorescentes del \u00e1cido polirribocitid\u00edlico marcado con pireno, cuando hibrida con un homopolinucle\u00f3tido complementario, el \u00e1cido polirriboinos\u00ednico. Estos polinucle\u00f3tidos sinteticos se han escogido como modelos de \u00e1cidos nucleicos por su f\u00e1cil manejo y adquisici\u00f3n.
