En este trabajo, se ha realizado una completa caracterizaci\u00f3n del mineral concentrado de zinc, calcina y del residuo jaros\u00edtico procedentes de una planta electrol\u00edtica de zinc, con la finalidad de llevar a cabo un seguimiento de los principales elementos constitutivos de cada uno de estos materiales. El trabajo est\u00e1 inscrito en un estudio m\u00e1s amplio de reactividad alcalina de estos residuos, por tal motivo se han evaluado las distintas variables que se involucran en la descomposici\u00f3n y cianuraci\u00f3n de residuos jaros\u00edticos tanto en medio naoh y ca(oh)2. Los resultados obtenidos indican que este tipo de material, tiene un comportamiento similar a aquellas jarositas sintetizadas a nivel laboratorio, de igual modo se determinaron las expresiones
